Roswell
Park Cancer Institute
Roswell Park Cancer Institute, founded in 1898, is the nation’s
first cancer research, treatment and education center and is
the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive
cancer center in Upstate New York. RPCI is a member of the prestigious
National Comprehensive Cancer Network, an alliance of the nation’s
leading cancer centers. Roswell Park has affiliate sites and
collaborative programs in New York, Pennsylvania and in China.
CBLI has an exclusive, open-ended license agreement with Roswell
Park. |

The
Cleveland Clinic
Cleveland Clinic is a not-for-profit multispecialty academic
medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with
research and education. Cleveland Clinic was founded in 1921
by four renowned physicians with a vision of providing outstanding
patient care based upon the principles of cooperation, compassion
and innovation. U.S. News & World Report consistently names
Cleveland Clinic as one of the nation’s best hospitals in its
annual “America’s Best Hospitals” survey. Approximately 1,800
full-time salaried physicians and researchers at Cleveland Clinic
and Cleveland Clinic Florida represent more than 100 medical
specialties and subspecialties. |

ChemBridge Corporation
ChemBridge Corporation is an established leader in combinatorial
chemistry and in manufacturing diverse chemical libraries, which
is demonstrated by its multiple collaborative agreements with
the leading Pharma companies. Dr. Gudkov's group has a strong,
long-term working relationship with ChemBridge. This relationship
has already resulted in the isolation of bioactive small molecules
with clinical potential that helped to establish either new
therapeutic concepts (p53 inhibitors). CBLI has entered into
an agreement with ChemBridge, whereby ChemBridge will provide
CBLI with access to a chemical library of about 200,000 compounds.
This library is a key component of CBLI's drug discovery pipeline.
Even more important is that ChemBridge will provide CBLI with
lead optimization expertise and capabilities, which is critical
for the successful drug development. |

AFRRI
Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI) is a part
of USUHS, which is a fully accredited federal school of medicine
administered by the U.S. Department of Defense and is located
in Bethesda, Maryland. AFRRI is a leader in studying the short
and long-term effects of radiation injury. A principal AFRRI
mission is the development of pharmaceutical agents that can
be used to prevent injury from radiation caused by a nuclear
accident or event. Cooperative Research and Development Agreement
(CRADA) with this institution signed in September 2004 is an
important component of CBLI's R&D program directed towards
radiation antidotes. |
